A reader just asked me this question and I thought this information may be helpful to others.
Here's some of the places where I find my coupons:
-Sunday inserts- I only get 2 a week (from my paper and from my Dad's) but I know lots of couponers that buy dozens every week. Our Sunday paper is quite expensive so I haven't gotten to that point yet.
-Online- Some of the best coupons I've found have been Internet Printables. A couple of good places to start with them are coupons.com (link on my sidebar) and smartsource.com, although a lot of companies host coupons for their own products. If I haven't found a coupon for something I want I'll do a google search and try to find links like that.
-In stores- Most stores will have tearpad displays or "blinkies" - the coupon machines located right in front of the product you're buying. Even if I don't need them right away I usually tuck a couple away in case I see a good sale at that store or somewhere else, since Manufacturer coupons can be used anywhere.
Also found in stores are wine tags, either for instant savings or rebates, that don't usually require a wine purchase and "peelies". A "peelie" is a coupon that is on the product you are purchasing.
-Ebay- If I know of a deal coming up and I need more than my usual 2-3 coupons then I will purchase a group of coupons from Ebay to maximize those savings. (Note: You aren't paying for coupons, you are paying for the seller's time to cut and organize them.)
-Mail- Once you are on a manufacturer's mailing list they will send you coupons from time to time. It's really easy to do with any of your favorite brands - just go to their website and sign up for their newsletter and opt in for any special savings or offers. (If you don't want to clog up your email, you can always set up a free account with google or yahoo for this purpose.)
Kroger and CVS also send out coupons every so often so make sure your store savings card has the correct information on it. If you aren't sure you can call the 800 number on your cards to have it updated.
As you can see I'm always on the lookout for coupons cause you just never know where you'll find one!
I hope this is what you were looking for...please let me know if you have any other questions and I'll be happy to help.
