Cooking at home...

Part of my saving journey has meant more cooking at home & less eating out. Of course I have a lot more groceries in the house from all my couponing but knowing what to do with them is not always easy.

I find that creating a menu plan at the beginning of the week helps to relieve a lot of that 5 o'clock stress of wondering what's for dinner. Plus that way I make sure to use up anything that is nearing it's expiration date instead of throwing it out.

Once I started cooking at home 5-6 days a week I quickly realized I needed to upgrade some of my cookware. The very nice set of hard anodized pans that I had gotten 8 years before had seen better days and was becoming a pain to clean.

So for Christmas I asked Santa, aka my husband, for a nice new set of stainless steel cookware. That was dishwasher safe. And a cast iron pan because even though I never had used one, word on the street was that they are fabulous. I'm all about some fabulous.

Santa delivered and I've been giving them both a good workout each week since. Now I find myself lusting over other newer kitchen gadgets/cookware that will make cooking at home even easier.

As luck would have it CSN contacted me about doing a review for them. CSN Stores is comprised of over 250 specialized online stores that offer a wide variety of home goods including tools, lighting, office furniture, kids beds and of course cookware.

I'll be posting my review soon but in the meantime the first person to guess what I chose to review will win a special prize from me! Just leave me a comment with your guess.

Congrats Amber!

**If no one guesses correctly before my review is posted then I will use random.org to pick one lucky winner from all the comments.

My guess is a wok/stir-fry pan. Which I would love to learn to cook with, b/c I'm sure it would make some great meals!

One of the things I always see people use...but am not too sure about how to use is a Dutch oven. I actually got one for Christmas...and I am just not sure what I want to make in it!
