It's been quite a while since I posted pictures of our stockpile and with the Extreme Couponing show being on everyone's mind I wanted to show it to you again. I believe this is a reasonable, maintainable size stockpile for my family.
You'll notice my cereal shelf is a little bare. Not only have I stopped buying as much now that our son is stationed in Oklahoma but I donated a large box of items including cereal to our neighbor's church.
The freezer is also emptier than usual but I've been making a conscious effort to use the items that are in there before buying new ever since I did the "Eat from the Pantry" Challenge earlier this year. In fact my little chest freezer only has a handful of things in it at the moment so I didn't bother taking a picture of that.
So that's it...sorta. I keep our bath tissue and paper towels in the upstairs pantry, soda & water in the garage and of course our kitchen cabinets are pretty well stocked, but this is the majority of my stockpile.

I love it! And I see you have extra cat food/dog food. No matter HOW MUCH I buy when it's on sale (thanks for posting the purina one deal!) it's always gone within a few weeks! Luckily we don't ever spend too much, but with four piggy cats, we run out quickly :)
Thanks for sharing, Brandy! This is SO MUCH more realistic.
@Ross & Katy - I don't have any pets but I love to donate pet food to the local food banks. Many times people are choosing between food for them & food for their pets so it helps.
@Nancy - Thanks! I still need to go through the body wash and shampoo so I donate what we don't need to the food bank.
Brandy,
Since we both live in VA and are close to the recent tornadoes, I've been considering donating body wash, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc. to Gleaning for the World or other organizations who are collecting items for those areas who were hard hit by the tornadoes (Pulaski, Gloucester, North Carolina, etc.). Same thing with pet food since we no longer have pets.
